Core + Co is a boutique and intimate home studio in the heart of the Eastern Bays (Auckland), specialising in the teaching and practice of Mat Pilates and Garuda Barre, as well as both pregnancy and post-natal Pilates. Both forms of exercise are designed to improve your physical health and mental wellbeing giving you an opportunity to participate more fully in your life, and feeling more at one with your body.

SACHA PALMER
FOUNDER

I have been an avid Pilates participant for over 25 years. I love it! As well as developing strength, flexibility and mobility, most importantly, Pilates has allowed me to have a mind body connection and awareness.
In my youth, I played numerous sports at competitive and representative levels, experiencing many injuries (major and minor!) and learning more and more about the body and imbalances each time, particularly through rehabilitation.
During my pregnancies (and post) I experienced many health and body issues. However on a positive note, I became even more knowledgeable about the body again, and realised that movement and strength are my body’s best friends.
​
I am a mother of two beautiful, sporty and highly energetic children, and I work hard to ensure my body is at its best to keep up with them, and especially as I am on my own personal peri-menopause journey.
I’ve developed a great understanding of the importance of respecting our bodies and ensuring they are well balanced – giving our bodies lots of TLC, which includes exercise through strengthening and lengthening. Like nature, our bodies need nourishment - from food, water, oxygen, sunlight & movement. Pilates, Barre and Garuda are part of this nourishment for the body.
I love sharing my personal knowledge and experiences through teaching, and sharing my passion for Pilates, Garuda and Barre, the body and ultimately wellbeing.
